FMC
Smart Mobile is a product of the Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC), allowing integrating the services of the fixed and wireless telephone communication of the GSM standard to the corporate telephone network. This service was specially developed for corporate Gars Telecom Company clients in consort with Sonic Duo Company (Megafon trade mark).

The main service advantage is ability to implement the common numbers for the fixed and mobile phones of the employees. If office telephone is busy or employee is not available incoming calls forwarding to mobile number, than to voice mail or to other chosen number. It is also possible unconditional forwarding when incoming call forwards upon preset number and conditional forwarding as well. Forwarding terms are determined by the client.

Under the convergent number can be organized closed mobile subscribers groups in which call terms are determined. For instance, transport group has an ability to call round-the-clock within the bounds of group on the fixed numbers of car pool chief and security officer; delivery service can call extensional and fixed numbers but only in working hours; logistic service has permission on outgoing trunk and international calls and etc.

To be convenient system has different additional customizable facilities. For example, the last three of four digits of the mobile number can match with the extensional mobile number under the corporate network. Each mobile subscriber of the company has access to the corporate network, Internet, e-mail and other company resources, as well as the all range of services provided by the GSM-standard network such as SMSS, MMS, information and references. The data sending via the virtual private networks is encrypted for the illegal access protection. The most progressive software used for the private networks carries out the identity verification and the traffic encryption between the personnel of the customer and corporate network.

The single protected private network is assigned for the both-way transmission of the voice, data, video and other information in digital format over a range of 64 Kbit/sec to 4 Mbit/sec speeds.

The most famous is 802.11à (capacity up to 54 Mbtps) è 802.11b (up to 11 Mbtps).

Currently, WiFi actively used for the local corporate networks organization and also for the “hot spots” building with the high speed access in the public places as airports, business centers, restaurants, hotel and etc.

WiFi networks advantages:
  • Efficiency rising. WLAN network provides access independent from the exact place. WLAN allows to move inside the organization territory being connected;
  • Rapid and easy LAN launching. It is not necessary to lay cables;
  • Launching flexibility. Wireless network can be realized in the places where it is not possible to lay cables, and the WLAN technology simplifies the network launching and transporting;

WiMAX
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) – perspective wireless data transmission standard. Test networks have been constructing since 2004 in the world.

Microwave – there are 3 frequency profiles are determined for the WiMAX-portable devices – 2,5, 3,5 è 5,8 GHz

Access – WiMAX networks from the beginning oriented to be used as the city networks for the internet access and data transmission.

WiMAX is the technologically developed from WiFi technology (difference is in the territory limitation – only in the airport or in the hotel and etc.).

WiMAX will be able to provide by internet access million of subscribers, houses and offices which are not connected to the DSL. It is planned that the radius of the covered zone will be about 50-60 kilometers that will allow setting them with mobile basic stations on the skyscrapers and high towers.

Working in 2-11 GHz diapason it allows providing wireless access with the channel capacity up to 70 Mbps per the one basic station sector (up to the 6 sectors per the one access spot) and guaranteeing data transmission out of the line-of-sight coverage zone. The transmission capacity for the clients can be controlled by the provider that will allow, for instance, providing the end users with the channels on the DSL level, and for the enterprises – the dedicated leased digital line level.

WiMAX advantages

WiMAX technologies can organize wireless access on the whole territory of the towns, helping to solve the problem of the “last mile” and also the costs decreasing on the new connections. Now the launching process can take about several months, with the WiMAX technology the same process can take several days or even hours.
